About Us

Welcome to the website and blog for Cafe Bar Garcia in Castell de Ferro.

Although called a “Cafe Bar”, this is just a reflection of the name we inherited from the previous owners, we are in fact a full restaurant and bar.

With inside seating for 40 and a summer terrace seating 80, we can accommodate any size party.  The inside is cosily lit and provides a friendly atmosphere and the terrace is only 20 metres from the seafront promenade and offers fabulous sea views.

Run by husband and wife team, Lisa and Simon Batchelor, the restaurant is entering its’ second year after a very successful first summer period.

The Bar is well stocked with Spanish and International drinks and we can cater for “British” tastes with a range of beers and alcopops you will be familiar with.  We always stock Guinness, Strongbow, John Smiths, Bacardi Breezers and WKD to name a few.  We have an extensive range of popular Spanish beers and International brands such as Heineken and Coronita.

For wine drinkers we carry  not only a wide selection of the best of Spanish wines but also wines from South Africa, Chile and North America.

The cuisine you can expect is best described as “Eclectic International”.  For such a small town as Castell de Ferro we offer a huge range of over 40 freshly prepared dishes cooked whilst you wait by Simon.  The menu is a gastronomic tour of the world  stopping off at India, Italy, Spain, Amercia the UK and influences from other fine cuisines.

So whether it is a fresh Chicken Bhuna, a hand made 12″ pizza, fresh pasta or a treacle sponge pudding, we can make your dining experience a truly memorable one.

Due to our popularity it is always recommended to book as weekends are generally full.  We also offer a take away service for those who prefer to dine at home.
